  • separates work-hardened stainless steel and purifies zurik fractions

Vecoplan VSA 250 T bag opener

Recyclables or household waste collected in bags must be continuously and reliably fed into sorting processes. Vecoplan, High Point, North Carolina, has developed the VSA 250 T bag opener for this demand. The bag opener:

  • can be loaded via belt conveyors, shovel grabs or wheel loaders
  • is designed to gently opens bags and empty them
  • has a cutting unit that consists of hammers welded onto the two rotors that operate inside the machine’s large, open cutting frame
  • achieves a throughput rate of 35 tons per hour with a bulk density of around 3 pounds per cubic feet

Alliance Tire Group Galaxy Hulk Deep-Tread SDS tire

The Wakefield, Massachusetts-based Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has introduced the Galaxy Hulk Deep-Tread SDS, a skid-steer tire featuring what ATG calls a “massive block tread pattern.” The Galaxy Hulk Deap-Tread SDS is:

  • the latest addition to the Galaxy severe duty solid (SDS) line
  • available in 30-inch-by-10-inch-by-16-inch and 33-inch-by-12-inch-by-16-inch sizes—with and without apertures
  • designed with a 68 percent rubber-to-void ratio

D&S granulator knives

Southbridge, Massachusetts-based D&S Manufacturing, a division of Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions (IBS), says its granulator knives have been designed for high performance in the plastic, rubber and recycling industries. D&S Manufacturing says the knives are:
