Genesis Attachments announces promotions
Genesis Attachments, Superior, Wisconsin, has made several management appointments. The company promoted Justin Palvere to North American sales director and Matt Orvedahl to Midwest regional sales manager.
In his new position, Palvere will manage sales and channel strategy and Genesis regional managers and sales territories in the U.S. and Canada.
Genesis Attachments says Palvere began his career with the company in manufacturing 12 years ago and has since held positions that include Southeast regional sales manager, Midwest regional sales manager and, most recently, national account manager for demolition.
Orvedahl joined Genesis as a product sales and service representative in May 2017. In that role, he was responsible for sales growth while serving scrap metal processing and demolition customers’ parts, refurbishment and service needs in the Midwest sales territory. Orvedahl has extensive sales experience and strong relationships with customers in Genesis’ Midwest territory, which covers Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan and Wisconsin, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Manitoba.
Genesis says Orvedahl’s previous experience, application knowledge, mechanical aptitude and understanding of the industries the company serves will be beneficial in his new position.
Bunting adds lean manufacturing coordinator
Bunting, a Newton, Kansas-based manufacturer of magnetic technology, has hired Robert Clausing as its new lean manufacturing coordinator. He will focus on using a lean manufacturing mindset to reduce and eliminate waste.
“Waste is anything that adds to the process without adding value to the product,” Clausing says. “It can be as obvious as transportation expenses and as subtle as spending too much time searching for a misplaced item.”
Clausing joins Bunting from Tect Power Inc., Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, where he served as a general operations manager. He also has worked for Carlson Products LLC, Maize, Kansas, as a supply chain manager and The Coleman Co. Inc., Chicago, as a global quality manager.
